Step 1: Pre-Inspection
With a proper cleaning inspection, EcoTeam takes note of the soiling conditions, permanent staining and even how the carpet is constructed. This allows us to plan the cleaning of your carpet more effectively using the most suitable method.
Step 2: Pre-Vacuum
In addition to the rest of the cleaning process, our cleaning technicians vacuum the room before the initial cleaning to eliminate all loose contaminating materials and dry soil.
Step 3: Furniture Moving
We will carefully remove all furniture such as chairs, tables, and sofas. Please note, however, due to liability issues, we don’t move large pieces of furniture such as entertainment centers, china cabinets or beds. To protect these items we use tabs and blocks.
Step 4: Pre-Condition & Pre-Spot Treatment
To achieve a better result, particularly dirty areas, spots and high traffic areas are pre-treated.
Step 5: Pre-Groom
Carpet groomers are used in high traffic areas to loosen the dirt.
Step 6: Extract & Rinse
To extract the pre-loosened dirt we use high-powered hot water machines (60 to 235 degrees) that are controlled to match individual soiling and fibers. We control the heat and the pressure accordingly so that your carpet is not over wet. This process leaves your carpet as dry as possible and the air free of allergens, dust mites and pollutants.
Step 7: Neutralize
We prevent sticky residue being left on your carpet by using PH-balanced solutions. This is a very important step that is often omitted by other cleaners.
Step 8: Post Spot Treatment
Our cleaners will check for any spots that were not extracted in the cleaning process and use special methods and solutions for spot removal. Please note that this process excludes permanent stains that will be identified ahead of time during our pre-inspeaction.
Step 9: Scotchgard Carpet Protection (recommended)
Carpet and fabrics that are treated with Scotchgard Carpet Protection resist staining and keep the dirt loose, allowing vacuuming to be more effective in the future.
Step 10: Speed Dry
When required, to expedite drying, high speed fans are placed in the room.
Step 11: Post Grooming
The carpet is placed in an upright position for better drying and visual appeal.
Step 12: Inspection
Before we leave we will give you time to inspect our work and then we ask you to sign our invoice when you’re satisfied.
Before Your Carpet is cleaned, please make sure that none of your belongings will be damaged while moving furniture. Please remove small knick-knacks from the surfaces of your furniture and the floor itself. You won’t want your pets and kids running on the carpet while it is being treated and drying: it is best to make sure they are kept away while we are cleaning and the carpets are drying.
Our Rotovac 360 cleaning machine does a thorough job. This hot water extraction machine can make up to 250 extraction passes every minute. Its three vacuum slots result in your carpet looking brand new: this is because it separates and lifts each fiber. Although this process takes a while it is well worth the wait.
CAUTION: After your carpet has been cleaned
Be careful walking from a carpet on to a hard surface! Any residual dampness on your feet or shoes can make a tile floor (or similar) very slippery. Keep pets and children off your just-cleaned carpet for at least 5 hours. Leave any blocks and tabs in place for 24 hours after your carpet has been cleaned.
